A Roundup of Thoughts That May Help

Thoughts I’ve had the last two weeks about entrepreneurship:

If you don’t want the predictability of a 9-5 job, you will have to face the unpredictability of not having a 9-5 job. A 9-5 brings a feeling of security and stability, a feeling that we often call boring. But don’t forget that NOT have the feeling of security and stability can feel overwhelming and intimidating. Neither is right or wrong.

If a client “fires” you, it doesn’t necessarily mean you should change something that you are doing. You might be tempted to lower your pricing, change your offerings, or quit entirely. Before you do that, think about what the client actually said. Did they say “We love your work, we just can’t afford it right now” or “You did amazing, we just need to move things internal?” That probably doesn’t warrant you changing anything…

Hours may not always be billable, but that doesn’t mean they are not valuable… word to the wise courtesy of my sister.

Running a business can bring up a lot of stress, especially this time of year (tax season heyyy). Keep tabs on your mental health. Do the things you need to do to keep your internal peace!

Great job everyone. Keep up the good work.
